"Having Dick Germaine with us in worship was truly a Barnabas moment. He both gave us courage in God to continue to move forward in the mission of Jesus, and gave us compassion in God to be fully aware of the costs of ministry, particularly to pastors. His message encouraged us to care for one another, especially our church leaders, ordained and lay, and to reach out to the lost who need the One who cares and died for us all. Dick's honest and tender heart, plus his wealth of experience in the fields of New England, gave him instant rapport and credibility with the congregation.  He will be a much welcome guest in the future."

Pastor Len Cowan, Church of The Nativity, Northborough, MA.

"As the senior pastor of a suburban congregation that is growing to the level of a program-sized church I looked around for a mentoring pastor who has "been there and done that". Dick Germaine of Barnabas Ministries was highly recommended. We meet monthly to discuss the gamut of issues relating to church life and growth. His commitment to Christ, pastoral experience, all-around wisdom and engaging personality have been immensely helpful. I look forward to my sessions with him and always leave revitalized in my pastoral calling and personal
faith."

Dr. David Reid, Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church, Reading, MA.

"Dick Germaine was the speaker on a Men’s Retreat we held in the Spring of 2003. It was the first spiritual retreat for men that our church had scheduled in several years, so we needed a great experience. The Lord, through Dick, made that happen. He gave us four sessions on “Building a Man Sized Faith,” and in their evaluations, the men called him: “excellent, scary at times, practical, superior, forceful, five stars, top drawer.” Dick challenged the men to meet in accountability groups of three to keep working on the spiritual disciplines they committed to on the weekend, and many groups are continuing still, five months later. I would highly recommend Dick as a first rate retreat speaker."

John 17/23 Testimonies

I am a 61 year old Episcopal priest leaving my John 17 small group after just over a year's membership to relocate to a new church out of state.  I have been blessed by the group in three ways. First it was ecumenical: I couldn't lapse into denominational gossip as no one else was Episcopal. That gave me fresh air and a wider perspective at a time when my own church foundered. Second, many of the members were church planters. I have spent my ministry serving settled churches. I learned a great deal about the challenges and struggles in guiding a new congregation into being. Third, the group spanned two generations.  Being with thirty-somethings and sharing Christ with them was stretching and reassured me that the next generation understands and withstands the cultural drift as I do. I'm not such an old fogey after all!  Thank you for your hospitality and God bless you as you seek to nurture this important ministry to  pastors!
